Covid FAQs

Before attending you should:

  • Complete a lateral flow test 24 hours prior to attending. You can only attend if this test has a negative result.
  • Bring proof of a negative result by logging your results on the NHS website at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
  • Complete our online attendance form – please note you must complete this before attending. You will not be allowed into the venue without it. You can find this at the following link: http://railbusinessawards.com/live/en/page/covid-19-attendee-form
  • Take note of your entrance time slot
  • Pack your mask so that you have one should you need it during the event

Please do not attend the Rail Business Awards if you have COVID-19 symptoms or self-isolating at the time of the event.

You may replace yourself with another staff member from your organisation free of charge. Please note before the event they will still need to:

  • Complete a lateral flow test 24 hours prior to attending. They can only attend if this test has a negative result.

Please do not attend the Rail Business Awards if you have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 5 days or are currently showing symptoms.

If you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 and are fully vaccinated then you can still attend the event providing that you are producing a negative lateral flow test for 7 days. If you aren’t fully vaccinated then you will need to follow government guidelines and self isolate for up to 10 days. To prove a negative lateral flow test result you must log your result on the NHS website which can be found at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result

There will be a drinks reception this year. To accommodate the amount of attendees we will be staggering arrivals to the venue to comply with social distancing rules.

You can find information on your arrival time on your e-ticket.

On arrival you will have your temperature checked by one of our staff and they will check your ticket, that you have completed our online attendance form and that you have proof of a negative lateral flow test. Sanitiser will be available on arrival before entering the drinks reception.

Masks for attendees are not mandatory for this event but we would strongly encourage you to wear one when interacting face to face with staff upon check in or when moving through crowded spaces at the venue.

All venue staff will be wearing masks for the duration. Servers will be wearing white cotton gloves replaced regularly throughout the service.

Attendee numbers have been capped to allow for social distancing between tables within the room and allow attendees to have a bit more space when seated.

Cloakrooms will be open however guests should avoid bringing overnight bags to the venue to help minimise queues and crowding.

The bar will be open after the awards ceremony and before the ceremony there will a drinks receptions that will be tray service.

The hotel maintains a high level of enhanced hygiene protocols in all areas. Deep cleaning and sanitisation of public areas occurs on a daily basis.

Increased cleaning protocols are in place during the set-up, rehearsals and the event itself of all high touch points including stair and balcony handrails, door handles and bathrooms.

We require all attendee contact details this year so we can quickly disseminate information to all that attended the event if it is required to do so.
