With our acquisition of Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD), Progress Rail is the world's largest builder of diesel-electric locomotives for all commercial railroad applications including freight, intercity passenger, commuter, switching, industrial and mining. EMD is also a global provider of diesel power engines for marine propulsion, offshore and land based oil well drilling rigs and stationary power generation. Electro-Motive is the only diesel engine manufacturer of its size to have produced more than 70,000 engines. This success stems from product reliability, serviceability, load acceptance capability, low operating costs and ease of maintenance with standardized components.

Founded in 1998, KBH On-Train Media is the UK’s largest on-train media company. We work with train operating companies (TOCs) to monetise their poster, digital and Wi-Fi media assets, delivering important incremental ‘non-farebox’ revenue, as well as installing TOC communication material such as safety information, network maps and marketing campaigns.
The Traincard advertising format reaches over seven million consumers every four weeks, with 65,000 panels installed in over 6,500 carriages. Traincards have the highest dwelltime of any out-of-home media and give brands an unrivalled opportunity to reach consumers during their journey, when they have time to absorb and act on advertising.
As a result, this traditional advertising format plays an effective role in influencing consumer behaviour, and also provides a powerful opportunity to connect out-of-home messaging with mobile brand platforms. To monetise the increasing consumer appetite for online connectivity on the move, in 2014 we formed sister company KBH Digital to work with TOCs to offer digital advertising opportunities via on-train Wi-Fi services and on-board entertainment portals.
In delivering operational solutions we think from the customer perspective and the people who deliver service to customers. This transcends our approach to safety management, service delivery, concept planning, organisational design, operational readiness, emergency and contingency planning and the management of disruption.Contact us if you want to learn more.
